EQUINOX PRIZES

In order to give incentive to photographers who are on the fence about giving the wet place process a try, as well as reward existing wet plate photographers for taking part in this labor of love, we’ve arranged a rich set of prizes for the best participants. Other than being published and heavily promoted in BLUR (which we feel is the biggest prize of them all:-), the winners can expect the following benefits:

PUBLICATION IN BLUR

Participants in the BLUR Equinox Wetplate contest can expect the following benefits:

  • All photos that meet the guidelines and receive approval from the jury will be published in a special PDF edition of BLUR, titled WET PLATE EQUINOX
  • 30 best photos by the opinion of the jury will be published in the regular edition of BLUR
  • 3 best authors will be presented in BLUR with an interview and an additional 10 photos from their personal portfolio (may be unrelated to the contest)
  • 10 best authors will be published in a printed special edition BLUR Wet Plate Book, featuring all so far published authors in the Wet Plate section of BLUR

Additionally to publication in BLUR, together with our sponsors we’ve secured a rich selection of prizes for the top 10 participants:

In the head section of your page add Modernizr. Modernizr acts as a shim for HTML5 elements for older browsers as well as detection for mobile devices. Foundation accepts a myriad of options for initialization. By default, calling $('#scope').foundation(); will initialize all available plugins on the page. Alternatively, you can pass individual plugins along with configuration options and a callback. This will allow you to select specific plugins to start on your page, even if their source is included. You can take a look at the call here.
